The other day we talked at the student group meeting about how we can be salt and light in our society and in the university. I challenged the students to think not only about how they can be different in order to preserve their 'comfort zone' (for example, asking others not to smoke or listen to 'chalga' music in their presence), but to be really influencing other people's opinions and thinking about such hot and pressing issues like abortion, gay marriages, euthanasia, the ban for religious activity at university, racism, xenophobia and the like. We decided to do something next semester and to pray for God's guidance. Let's see what happens!
